WHAT: UIC will be hosting the 2007 Chicago Circus Spectacular benefiting Chicago Jaycees on October 12, 13, and 14th at the UIC Pavilion. Show times are Fri. 7:30 P.M. Sat/Sun. 11:30 A.M., 3:30 & 7:30 P.M.
There will be lots of excitement for the families and kids, from Captain Circus-The Human Cannonball, Pony Rides, Elephant Rides to Cotton-Candy and Sno-Cone's. This is the Biggest and Best Circus ever at the UIC Pavilion!!!
We at UV will help spot checking tickets as people are coming through the doors. About 10% of the crowd will try to enter with the wrong amount of paid tickets vs. free coupons. We have to send them back to the ticket window. It's normally very civil and they are just confused or didn't pay attention, but it's a very important part of the process. Also we need help with things that happen--from lost children to someone needing a roll of tape.
Volunteers can be at the UIC Pavilion 1.5 hours before show time. Doors open 1 hour before show time. We will meet at the volunteer check-in. Location is easy to get to by CTA--Blue Line at the Racine stop.
ABOUT: The Chicago Jaycees is a non-profit organization of young professionals who develop leadership skills through community service projects and professional development seminars.
