Volunteering for the Community Engagement Program

WHEN:  March 29, 2008, from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.

WHAT:   Urban Volunteers will prepare and serve breakfast to approximately 15 members of the community as part of a new Community Engagement Program.  The CEP is a new program from the same group responsible for the Lincoln Park Community Shelter.  The people we feed at the breakfast are not LPCS guests, but they are low income and homeless members of the community that the LPCS is reaching out to.  They are in need of basic services like a hot meal, laundry, toiletries, and food. 
 
If there is a dish you would like to prepare, please let us know ahead of time so we can plan out purchases.  We will be making the basics like eggs, pancakes, muffins, etc.
 
Since we are feeding a smaller group, we need five volunteers.
